Our full-time ELI prepares you to function at an American college or university, either at the undergraduate or graduate level. Established in 1945, ELI is CUNY’s oldest English language school and the second oldest in the United States.
This location offers group Intensive (30 lessons per week), Semi-Intensive (20 lessons per week) and American Explorer (15 lessons per week) English programs. A TOEFL iBT Prep Program (30 lessons per week) is also available at this location. Students in the Intensive, Semi-Intensive & American Explorer English Programs offer instruction and practice in all key language skills: speaking, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading & writing.
